If you look out your car windows, you will see that America favors cars with dull colors. Even though our tastes have changed throughout the last century, we still vastly prefer the grayscale on the road. 77.1% of all US vehicles on the road are either white, black, gray, or silver. While that may be the trend, there are those of us that want to stand out from the crowd. Here are some crazier colors introduced in the past couple of years that will make a statement on the road.
Frozen Berry Metallic
Porsche has reimagined the color pink with their Taycan eclectic vehicle and their Taycan Cross Turismo. Frozen Berry Metallic is an understated, classy shade that will stand out on the road. It costs $800 extra after the base color of either black or white. This car is not the first time they have broken barriers in the pink department. In 1989 and 1990, they offered a Coral on the 911 and 928 sports cars.
Tuscadero Pink
If you want a more stark shade of pink, look no further. Jeeps have become known for their intense color choices, and their latest choice was the Tuscadero Pink for the Wrangler. Many initially put the color choice down, comparing it to the 1990’s children’s Barbie-themed Jeep toy. However, despite the criticism, they have extended its run into 2022 because it sold so well. These orders may have been closed, but you may be able to find one on dealer lots if you are lucky.
Kyalami Green
Audi’s 2022 RS3 Kyalami Green sets this car apart from the rest. Following company trends, this color wants to stand out and highlight how different this car will be. It wants to show that this is not a regular Audi vehicle, and everyone who sees this color knows it. Driving down the street in Kyalami Green, people can’t help but look and see how it complements the aesthetic.
Tiger Eye Pearl
The Acura TLX Type S in Tiger Eye Pearl is sure to turn heads in a good way. It can be challenging for onlookers to determine the exact color; guesses range from gold, yellow, orange, and green in certain lights. The color derives its name from the Tiger Eye gemstone, a golden red-brown. This gemstone holds protective properties, so you may even have fewer dents and dings from flyaway rocks.
Even if this paint color or any other does not have protective properties, there is a lot you can do to get your car looking brand new.
