Independence Day Fireworks, Lynchburg, VA
Downtown Lynchburg offers its annual Independence Day Fireworks show on Friday, July 2. Riverfront Park is great for bringing a picnic blanket or some lawn chairs. Enjoy the food or try out some of the local restaurant take-out options. Fireworks will start at 9:30 or just after dark.
Fireworks at the Diamond, Richmond, VA
As they have always done, the best fireworks in the Richmond area come after the 4th of July Flying Squirrels baseball game. There are two games on July 3 and July 4, so there are two chances to see these fireworks. Get your minor league tickets here!
Celebrate Freedom!, Chesapeake, VA
Celebrate Freedom! is the annual celebration of America’s birthday. On July 3, the party will kick off with a performance from the U.S. Fleet Forces Band at 7 PM. Fireworks will follow after the sunset. Additionally, the Chesapeake Public Art Committee and ART’s ALIVE will be collecting funds for a Chesapeake 9/11 Memorial.
Stars & Stripes Celebration, Virginia Beach, VA
The oceanfront Stars & Stripes Celebration will be held on July 4. Spreading across many different streets allows for 3 stages of live music. Catch some food from a local shop and set up your chair on the beach to catch fireworks at 9:30 PM.
Mount Trashmore 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks, Virginia Beach, VA
If you want to move away from the oceanfront, Mount Trashmore holds its own celebration. On July 4, enjoy a live DJ, local vendors, and fireworks later at 9:30 PM.
Fourth of July Great American Picnic & Fireworks, Norfolk, VA
Norfolk will hold its 38th Annual Fourth of July Great American Picnic & Fireworks on July 4 from 5 PM to 11 PM. Free to attend in Town Point Park, this is the perfect place to bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs. They have all kinds of American food for purchase and live music performances around the park. Fireworks will show at 9:30 PM over the Elizabeth River.
Shore Thing Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Display, Norfolk, VA
This celebration starts at 6 PM on July 2. There will be live music, children’s activities, food, and beverages leading up to the fireworks at 9:30 PM. Bonus good news- there is free parking in surrounding areas.
Independence Day, Grovetown, GA
Today, on July 1, from 5 to 11 PM, there will be something for everyone to celebrate. Kids have a kiddie carnival. Adults have plenty of shopping. There is food and live entertainment available all night long for everyone to enjoy.
Fourth of July Fireworks, Charleston, SC
Fourth of July Fireworks Blast is back! In Charleston on July 4, sit on the marsh and enjoy the fireworks over Charleston Bay. The party starts at 6 and lasts until 10, while the fireworks start at 9:15 PM.
